🟩 VillagerCraft Weekly Update
Another week, another massive wave of updates! 🚀
We've been busy improving VillagerCraft across the network, from new ways to travel between servers to major PvP improvements, quests, economy changes, and brand-new features for OneBlock, Skyblock, Survival, and LifeSteal.
🌐 Network-Wide Updates
🚀 Introducing /server
Switching between servers is now easier than ever!
We've added the /server command to every server on the network. Simply use:
/server survival
...and you'll be instantly connected to the Survival server. No need to return to the lobby just to change gamemodes!
📑 New Discord Categories
New Discord categories have been created for our new gamemodes, making it easier to find the right channels and connect with other players.
📡 Better Network Performance
We've improved our network connection to provide better ping and a smoother experience for everyone. ⚡
🏆 Website Leaderboards
Our website leaderboard has received a major improvement! It now displays data from all VillagerCraft servers, giving you a complete view of the network.
🗳️ New Vote Site
A new voting site has been added to our website. Make sure to vote and help support VillagerCraft while earning rewards! 💚
📋 Server Information in TAB
Pressing Tab will now show which server you're currently playing on. This feature is available across the entire network.
💰 Economy Changes
🌵 Cactus prices have been increased!
The selling price of cactus has been increased from $5 → $10, making cactus farms significantly more profitable.
🌳 Survival Updates
📜 Quest Fixes
The Mayor quest issues have been fixed, and all Village of Shadows quests have also received fixes.
🎁 Special Crate Changes
The following items have been removed from the Special Crate:
- Voidchest Boosts
- Claimblocks
⛏️ Kit Enchantments
We've upgraded several kit tools:
- Legend, Extreme & Mythic pickaxes now have Fortune.
- Extreme & Mythic hoes now have Fortune, Unbreaking, and Efficiency.
🏝️ OneBlock & Skyblock Updates
⭐ Island Ratings Are Here!
You can now rate other players' islands!
Use /is rate to rate an island and /is ratings to check island ratings.
Build something amazing, show it off, and climb the ratings! 🏆
❤️ LifeSteal Updates
This week brought a huge number of changes to LifeSteal!
⚔️ A New PvP Experience
- Flying during PvP has been disabled.
- Players receive 10 minutes of PvP protection after being killed.
- Hearts are now displayed in Tab during PvP.
- Mobs now move normally, just like vanilla Minecraft.
- The locator bar has been disabled.
The only way to track another player is now to find them using the bounty tracker. 🔎
🛡️ New Player Grace Period
New LifeSteal players now receive a 1-hour grace period.
During this time, new players:
- Cannot take damage from other players.
- Cannot damage other players.
- Cannot gain hearts.
- Cannot lose hearts.
This gives new players time to get familiar with the server before entering the dangerous world of LifeSteal. 🩸
👥 Teams Are Here
A team system has been added to LifeSteal, using the same system available on our Survival server. Gather your friends and build your own team!
🔥 Elytra Improvements
- The fireworks cooldown while using Elytra has been removed.
- Elytra durability has been increased.
Flying around the world is now faster and more convenient! 🚀
🛏️ Faster Nights
Only 30% of online players now need to sleep to skip the night.
🛡️ Improved Security
New security systems have been added to help protect the server against attacks.
🥚 New Spawn Egg Crate
A brand-new Spawn Egg Crate has been added to LifeSteal, giving players another way to obtain useful rewards.
💀 Zombie Villager Fix
Zombies will no longer be removed when creatures and dropped items are cleared. This prevents zombie villagers from unexpectedly despawning.
⏱️ Teleport Cooldowns
Teleport cooldowns have been set to 5 seconds, making teleportation more balanced while keeping it convenient.
